Best of Limerick || Shopping.

*As I mentioned when launching my best of Limerick segment, These are all just my personal preferences
Who doesn't love a bit of retail therapy? Not all of us like to admit it but now and again a little treat is the perfect pick me up. For me a new top, skirt or dress can change my mood entirely. (buying new clothes is actually a rarity for me) Limerick has great places for shopping with little gems spotted throughout the area. I am completely broke at the moment after buying my laptop back in January and I am currently trying to save my pennies. However, that doesn't stop me from tempting myself by a wander into my favourite few places. I decided to share a few of these spots with you as a part of my 'Best Of Limerick' segment. Have a look at my last post in the segment here.

Not many of my friends have EVER been to the milk market and I just don't understand why. I have found so many cute and crafty little treasures hidden away there. There really is something for everyone at the market, whether you're a foodie, a fashion lover, a vintage hoarder or just looking for a nice bouquet of flowers or a tasty cup of coffee. I would love to have my own stall at the market and I am actually in the process of making stock to hopefully sell at the market myself, I will update you with more information as soon as I'm ready to sell. Head over to their website for all the details about opening times and stalls.

The city centre is my favourite place to shop because I think not many people actually shop there. I find the stores cleaner, more spacious and have an overall better layout. I think people really don't give the city a chance any more. It has great stores such as River Island, Penneys, Brown Thomas, and amazing one off stores too.  I would love if there was  more big chain stores such as H&M or Bershka to help draw people to the city, but who knows what stores may locate there in the future. Guilty pleasures of mine in the city are Dealz and Moody Cow. I love a good bargain or a hot chocolate or both combined. A trip to either for me makes braving the rain or cold worthwhile for me.

The Crescent is perfect for a rainy day. It has most things you could possible need all under one roof. It has sports stores, restaurants, a cinema, pharmacies, a supermarket, the high-street favourites such as River Island, Zara, H&M and more. For a full list of shops in the centre click here. If you favour shopping centres over city shopping the Crescent is definitely the best spot in Limerick for you.The shopping centre is easily accessible from the city and surrounding area and with an abundance of free parking what's not to love?

I don't visit either of these as regularly as my top picks as they are a bit out of they way but I still like them all the same. TK maxx has to be my ultimate downfall at the moment. Every time I go in the I come out with so much home-ware items that I didn't even need. The idea of discounted OPI, Nails Inc, Essie and Bed Head products is all too much for me when I'm on a shopping ban and I cant help but indulge. Dorothy Perkins and Burton are also stores that I usually find great bargains.

-Be Fabulous: After meeting the owner Will O' Brien I guarantee you will want to take another trip back to the store. Will has to be the nicest man you will ever meet, he's so friendly, chatty and makes you feel amazing. Every year his stock is getting better and this seasons stock is AMAZING! They specialise in Debs,Grads, Bridesmaids and Evening dresses but also have all the accesories you could possible need to perfect an outfit. They source our dresses from all over the world, so that you can save on the Duty and high cost of posting and packaging. Will's shop is located on 17 Shannon Street Limerick. If you're in the area and haven't popped into the shop for a visit yet, I recommend you get their ASAP to see their amazing new stock. For more information call Be Fabulous on 061-314938 or pop over to their Facebook to have a look

-Ivory Closet: 'The Ivory Closet' is Limericks latest boutique set up by three sisters which aims to offer red carpet looks without the extravagant price tag. The Ivory Closet is a dress hire boutique with many of their labels unavailable anywhere else in Ireland. Rachel Gilbert, Sass And Bide Matthew Williamson are just some of the designers available. Dress rentals range from as little as €80 to €200 for a celebrity inspired ball gown.Prices are based on a 3 day rental with a week long rental option available on request.
Located on 18 Shannon Street, Limerick, if you’re in the area it’s definitely worth popping into the girls for a browse. For more call The Ivory Closet on 061-314422 or check them out on Facebook.

- Raspberry Red: This is a store from my home town of Bruff. The store has gorgeous stock for whatever occasion you have coming up whether it be a communion/conformation or a day at the races. I love the shop front and design of the store and it really does brighten up the street. Have a look at their Facebook to find out more information. They have something for women of all ages which you can see if you head over to their Facebook page.

-Charity Shops: I love shopping in charity shops and I know it's not something many people do. I adore finding hidden gems for a fraction of the cost of a new outfit. I have picked up some great bargains over the years. My favourite charity shop purchase was probably the gorgeous dress ~I featured in my first savvy Sunday post way back last July. So many people asked me where they could get their hands on it.
