Top 5 || Skincare Products.

Skincare when I was in my early teens was something that did't bother me in the slightestHowever, now I am obsessed and actually enjoy my skincare regime! I have quite the collection of skincare products and I love discovering new things that do wonders for my skin. I tend to not wear make up more often than I wear it, and when I don't I feel like dirt from the air builds up on  my skin. I think having good skincare staples is a must whether you wear make up 24/7 or never wear it at all! Looking after your skin no matter what age you are is so important whether it is applying your make up correctly, removing it in the right way or if it's simply just washing your face properly before going to bed. I put together a little list of some of my skincare comforts that might interest some of you too. Although I do change up my skin products to ensure my skin stays fresh these are the top 5 products I always find myself going back to. For me fresh Skin leads to a fresh mind!
  1. Nivea Soft Moisturiser || My skin is so sensitive to anything perfumed so this is the perfect neutral moisturiser for me. It's of a thick enough consistency which I love, nothing irritates my skin more than extreme liquid textures. (this applies to everything from moisturisers to foundations or concealers) Sometimes I apply this in a thick layer to my face almost like a mask as it allows any dry patches to flake away leaving fresh moisturised skin behind. Another great thing about this moisturiser is that it's not too oily either as I have quite mixed combination skin so it's a happy medium.
  2. Boots Essentials Cleansing Lotion || Like I mentioned when talking about my favourite moisturiser I hate perfumed face products. Although this cleanser has a refreshing cucumber smell to it, it is so super soothing to the skin. If you get this in your eyes it doesn't hurt a bit which is great because I always get distracted when cleaning off my make up and product ends up in my eyes as well as my hair! My favourite thing about this cleanser (along with all the boots essential range) is how affordable it is. This is only €1.99 and gets off every type of make up, even the strongest mascaras - all while soothing your skin. What more could you want in a cleanser?
  3. Benefit Remove It Cleanser || I got this as a gift two years ago and only now am I reaching the end of the bottle. I use this at least 3-4 times a week. I know it is a bit on the pricey side but considering how long it has lasted me I definitely think it's worth the price. I only use this when I've taken off my make up. Sometimes I find there might be residue left on my skin after removing my make up. I just pour a little bit on a cotton pad and wipe my skin and it instantly feels fresher.
  4. Nutrogena Face Scrub || In my opinion, a good face scrub is half the battle when it comes to good skin. No matter how much you clean your skin nothing gets into your pores better than a face scrub. I use a face scrub every morning before I put on my make up as I feel it removes any impurities sitting on my skin before adding a layer of make up. I use numerous different types of face scrubs but I find this one very effective. The little beads in this scrub are quit big and I find rinse off easily. I tend to use finer scrubs in the shower as they are harder to rinse off. You can buy this face scrub along with other Neutrogena products in Penneys for just €3. (which is a lot cheaper than other retailers)
  5. Sudocreme || Like 95% of Irish people I use Sudocreme as a cure for any skin related mishap. When my skin is particularly bad I couldn't survive without this. My dad always says it doesn't actually help my skin in any way but in my head I feel like it is doing wonders. For me it takes away the urge to poke at those irritating spots that are hiding buried under your skin. Whether its psychological or not I can't go anywhere without my mini tub of Sudocreme.

What are your favourite skincare products? I'm always looking for new ones to try out.
